UX Development & Requirements Gathering
National Sports Organization

Brief

In 2014-2015, I worked on the design & implementation of a new system for a national sports organization. The client wanted to rebuild their entire scoring, databasing, and ranking system; for both 5,000 association users and 2+ million public end-users. This included re-creating a massive database, building a two-fold front-end (for employee/associates and public), more than a dozen appropriate tiers of user types, and new business processes to manage the new system.

Process

I was the owner of two key critical capabilities of the new system; and developed myself to become the SME (subject matter expert) in these areas. For those capabilities, I lead the requirements meetings, created User Stories, designed the UX wireframes, and communicated with the development team daily to ensure correct implementation. Also assisted MDM team to create a consolidated & robust back-end. Provided backlog support for the capability until late into development.

Result

The two capabilities under my supervision were successfully implemented. They are currently live on the client's website.
